At any point during personalization, click Pre-Launch Checklist at the top of the campaign to view your progress. Items in yellow still need your attention. Click Click to fix to go to the relevant area to work on them. Items in green are complete - note that you can still make changes to these before you launch the campaign.

To upload new contacts, create a new contact list and link it to the campaign:
- Click Upload Contacts.
-
In Import Contacts, browse for and select the file that includes your list of contacts.
The import supports files of type CSV, XLS, XSLX, and TXT, with a maximum size of 5MB.

The window gives you a preview of the first 3 lines of content in the file, so you can confirm you’re importing the correct one.
- If the file has a header row, check the File contains a header row option.
- Click Import. A message confirms when the import has started.
-
When the upload is complete, you can select the contact list from the drop down list in Choose a Contact List.
When selected, you see a message confirming the number of recipients you’re targeting with this campaign.

Selected contacts are automatically opted in to receiving communications from the campaign.
Schedule Sending of Campaign Activities
In the Schedule tab of a draft campaign activation in Campaign IQ, configure the schedule for launching your campaign and its tactics - workflows, emails and social posts. You can choose between AI-optimized scheduling or a manual definition that gives you complete control.
- Choose the scheduling method - IQ scheduling (AI-powered) or Manual Scheduling - by clicking on the relevant header.
-
Review the schedule that has been provided. If you’re using Manual Scheduling, make changes as applicable. Guidelines on what you can change are given below. If you’re working with IQ Scheduling, you can click Regenerate to provide a different schedule.
Campaign Start Date & Time - As a default, this is based on the campaign being launched at 09.00 tomorrow. Manual Scheduling - Choose a new date and time from the calendar and date pickers, or click Set to Now + 30 Min to have it launch 30 minutes from now.
Note
All tactics will be scheduled relative to the campaign start date and time as a default.
Start dates for each tactic
- Workflows - A campaign workflow always starts at the campaign start date/time. The individual steps in the workflow execute according to the timing and delays configured in the workflow.
- Emails and social posts - Manual Scheduling You have two options for scheduling these, which is especially useful if there is more than one in a campaign:
- A staged sending of all the emails or social posts in the campaign - set the sending of the first one, relative to the campaign launch date, with Start Delay from Campaign Launch. Specify the required number of days between each email/social post going out with Spacing Between Emails.
- Individual scheduling for each individual email or social post - if you don’t want to follow the staged sending schedule. Click Override to expose the date and time pickers, and set a specific time for sending each email/social post. Click Use Offset if you want to go back to the staged sending date/time.
- Note: emails in a campaign may be linked to other content items. e.g. a landing page. You won’t be able to schedule the email until it and all its linked content have been personalized.
- If you’re working with IQ Scheduling, IQ shows you its confidence in the timings it’s provided. It also gives AI insights explaining why it’s chosen the particular date for each tactic. You can click Regenerate if you want it to provide a different schedule.
- Review the scheduling that's currently in place in the Campaign Timeline area.
- Any tactics that are scheduled in the past are highlighted in red. Ensure that you fix these issues before launching the campaign or those tactics will not trigger.
- If you want to reset the schedule and start again, click Reset to Defaults.
- When you’re happy with the campaign schedule, click Apply Schedule to queue the campaign up for launch.
