Overview
To review the status of a campaign, open the My Campaigns view. Statuses update every 24 hours.
In this article, we define each of the five statuses that a campaign can be in. This information is useful if you find your campaign in a different status than you expected or if you want to change the status of your campaign. Use this list to find out what criteria your campaign must meet to change to the status you want.
Campaign Statuses
Draft status applies to new campaigns which are not yet published and are not generating stats. A campaign is in draft status when the following criteria are met:
- It has not generated statistics and contains activities that require action.
- It contains one or more FSAs and no self-service activities and the provider order status of all FSAs is Pending Approval.
Active status applies to campaigns with marketing activities that are live and running. A campaign is in an active status when the following criteria are met:
- At least one activity has statistics in the last 30 days.
- It contains an FSA, and the order status is set to In Progress, Scheduled, or Executing.
- At least one of its activities has no additional required actions.
- It has any activities currently running (for example, emails either scheduled or sending or web plugins and workflows running).
Idle status applies to published campaigns that have no activities currently running. Idle status indicates that all activities in the campaign have run their course. Partners should analyze idle campaign stats, add activities to restart the campaign, or archive the campaign. A campaign is in idle status when the following criteria are met:
- It has not captured any statistics in the last 30 days.
- It contains one or more FSAs and no self-service activities, and the order status of all of the FSAs is Complete, Cancelled, or Archived.
- It contains a mix of one or more FSAs and self-service activities, the order status of all FSAs is Complete, Cancelled, or Archived, and none of the self-service activities have captured any statistics in the last 30 days.
Paused status applies to campaigns that you or a supplier have placed on hold. When a campaign is paused, no emails will be released and workflows are paused. When resuming your campaign, any mailing or activity that was scheduled in the past or in the next 24 hours will be unscheduled and will require rescheduling. This ensures nothing gets delivered unexpectedly. Mailings that were scheduled for more than a day in advance will remain scheduled.
Social media will continue to post. To stop a social media post, edit it in Upcoming Posts to either unschedule or schedule on a different date.
