Overview

A campaign is a collection of marketing activities such as emails, email workflows, web plugins, and multimedia assets. A campaign can be supplier-provided, or you can create your own campaign. Campaigns allow you to gather data in one place for all the marketing activity around a specific product or service.

Through your Partner Portal, suppliers provide you with campaigns that are organized around the products, industries, and solutions that matter to your business. You can find these supplier-provided campaigns under Browse Campaigns. Using the campaigns provided by your supplier, you can promote brand standards and execute campaigns quickly and efficiently. Think of the campaign as the container that will hold all the activities, emails, plugins, multimedia assets, and social media posts associated with the campaign.

Once you've activated one of your supplier's campaigns, it appears in your My Campaigns list. The list also displays CYO (Create Your Own) campaigns that you have created yourself, if this option is available in your portal.

In this article, we provide overview information about campaigns including the value of using campaigns, and the options available in the My Campaigns view.

The Value of Campaigns

Using Campaigns offers several benefits, including the following:

  • Reach customers quickly with co-branded content provided to you by your suppliers.
  • Increase engagement, improve open rates, and deliver sales views.
  • Simplify event creation, management, and other marketing efforts.
  • Deliver relevant content to prospects and customers in an interactive setting.
  • Personalize invitations, send automated reminders, and streamline registration to improve attendance at events.

About the My Campaigns View

To view your list of activated, paused, and archived campaigns, navigate to Campaigns > My Campaigns.

The My Campaigns view displays all campaigns that you have already activated from the Browse Campaigns view. It shows all campaigns that have been activated by users in your organization.

In the My Campaigns view, you have access to these tasks/information:

# of campaigns

Check how many campaigns are in your list. The number appears next to My Campaigns at the top of the screen.

Create Your Own Campaign

If you aren’t using a prebuilt campaign provided by your supplier, you may be able to create your own campaign from this view (if the option is enabled by your supplier). For more information, see Create Your Own Campaigns.

Search

Find a campaign by searching with keywords.

Filter

Limit the campaigns that display in your list. You can filter against these values:

  • Campaign Type
  • Activity Type
  • Status
  • Content tags such as Language that your supplier uses to categorize the campaigns
  • Your own tags, if you've added them to campaigns. For more information, see How to Add Tags to Campaigns.
Sort

Control the order in which your campaigns display. You can sort by Recently Updated, Create Date, or Name.

If you've applied a sort, click the icon_save_view_config.png icon to save it. The next time you navigate to the page, it will be arranged in the same way.

In the campaign dashboard, you can have access to these tasks/information:

Campaign Status

The campaign status appears in the upper-right corner of the window. For more information, see About Campaign Statuses.

Add Activity

Click Add Activity to add a new marketing activity to the campaign. For more information about adding activities to campaigns, see Manage Campaigns.

Pause/Start

Click Pause to put the campaign on hold. Pausing a campaign enables the Archive function.

When a campaign is paused, no emails will be released and workflows will be paused. When resuming your campaign, any mailing or activity that was scheduled in the past or in the next 24 hours will be unscheduled and will require rescheduling. This ensures that nothing gets delivered unexpectedly. Mailings that were scheduled for more than a day in advance will remain scheduled.

Social Media posts will continue to post. To stop the social media post, edit the Upcoming Posts to either unschedule or schedule on a different date.

If the campaign has been paused, click Start to reactivate the campaign.

Archive

If the campaign is paused, click Archive to deactivate the campaign and remove it from your campaigns list. For more information about archiving campaigns, see Manage Campaigns.

Edit

Click Edit to change the name of the campaign.

Click + New Tag to add your own tag to this campaign to make it easier to find. You can filter the My Campaigns list by this type of tag, by using the My Tags filter. For more information about adding tags, see Manage Campaigns.
