Web content can be used as a stand-alone item, or packaged into a campaign.

To make web content objects visible to your website visitors, you must activate them and launch them from your partner portal, and embed the code in your website.

For more information, see Activate Campaigns.

Activate Plugins Already Associated with Campaigns

When a piece of web content is already associated with a campaign that you have activated, you must complete a few set-up steps before you can launch the content and embed it on your site.

To activate web content that is already associated with a campaign, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Campaigns > My Campaigns.
  2. Click the name of the campaign that contains the web plugin you want to activate. You might find it useful to use the Activity Type filter to filter for campaigns that include a web plugin
  3. Under Web Plugins, click the name of the plugin you want to activate.
  4. In the alerts area in the content overview, click Review next to each task that needs to be reviewed/completed before you can launch the content, or click Edit to open the full set-up menu.
  5. In the Settings tab, change the name of the content and select the email address that will receive notifications about activity from the content and the leads it generates. Click Save & Next when you are done.
  6. In the Personalization tab, you'll see one of these edit screens, depending on the age of the content:
    • WYSIWYG Editor (powered by Beefree) - Click Edit to access the WYSIWYG Editor. Here you add your own formatting, logo, or other content to the areas your supplier has permitted you to edit. For more information, see Personalizing Web Content
    • Properties - Change any visual or textual elements that your supplier has made available, such as headers and images. Click View to see a preview of what will appear on your website. Click Apply when you are satisfied with changes. Click Save & Next to move on to the next step.
  7. In the Publish tab, find the code that you copy and paste into your website code. For information on how to embed your content, see Embedding Web Content.

When setup is complete and you add the code to your website, the content is active.

Activate Standalone Web Content

If you need a piece of web content, but one is not included in the campaign you are using, you can browse and activate one individually. These pieces of content can be run standalone, or you can add them to campaigns to help organize analysis data.

  1. Navigate to your Browse Web Plugins page. In this view, you can find all the web content your supplier has published to you.
  2. Find the content you want to use. You might find it useful to use the sort options, or the filters on the left hand side of the page, to find what you’re looking for. View the thumbnail image and read the description of the content to make sure it's what you need.
  3. Click Activate. This moves an instance of the content to your My Web Plugins page and opens the details view.

If you've activated this content before, you can use the View Existing Activation link to go back and resume your personalization.
