Taking Part in Contests

Suppliers have the option to encourage your engagement in their channel program with points-earning activities and contests.

Some contests allow you to choose whether to opt in, others start automatically for you on a given date. You can participate in as many as you like, if your supplier allows opt-in.

Contests track your completion of activities, either in the partner portal, or off-platform, and display leaderboards to show you how your organization is shaping up against the other competitors.  Some suppliers request that you submit physical proof that you've completed an activity so you can get your points.

You may be able to claim rewards based on your rank, when the contest ends.

Note

Rewards are based on internal points and credits in the platform. If these are to be translated into physical merchandise or other benefits, your supplier will handle this separately. Reach out to them for further clarification.

If your supplier has made contests available to you, there will be a dedicated page in your partner portal. Here, you can see these areas:

  • My Active Contests - a list of the contests in which you're already a participant, and a summary of your progress

You may either have opted in to a contest, or been auto-enrolled when it started. This is decided by your supplier in a contest's setup.

  • Available Contests - the library of contests that are available for you to join, or that are coming up
  • Completed Contests - contests for which you were a participant, but which have now ended, with your final rank and points total

Your supplier can confirm the name and location of the page for you - it will likely be different to the one shown here.

  7. Click Join Contest or Join contest when live. You'll see a message confirming your signup, and the contest moves into the My Active Contests area of the Contests page.

Complete an Activity and Submit Proof

Some contests include activities for which your supplier requires you to submit manual proof of completion, in order to get the assigned points. Some activities don't require any proof - just carrying out an activity in the portal is enough to win you points.

  1. Navigate to your Contests page.
  2. Go to the Contests tab.
  3. In My Active Contests, click on the contest for which you want to complete an activity.
  4. Scroll to the Earn points area.
  5. Click on the activity you want to complete. Activities that don't require proof are labelled Completes automatically. You'll see Review required if your supplier has requested you provide evidence.
  6. If the activity doesn't need manual proof it's likely that you can complete it in the portal. Finish the task in the required area of the site (the activity usually includes a link to take you there, depending on its configuration).
  7. If you're working on an activity that requires proof of completion, click on it to open the Submit Activity screen.
  8. In Submit Activity, complete this information
    • Provide Details - details of what you did, and any other relevant information
    • How would you like to submit proof? - choose Upload File or Provide URL
    • Upload Supporting Document (if you chose Upload File) -  drag and drop, or browse for, up to 10 files, each with a maximum size of 10MB. PDF, PNG, JPEG/JPG, and GIF files are supported.
    • Proof URL - add the URL to the proof, e.g. a public certificate. This must be a valid URL starting with http:// or https://
  9. Click Submit for Review. The submission is sent to your supplier for their consideration.
  10. The activity in the contest will show the status/progress of the supplier review. They can either approve it, reject it, or request some more information from you. You can update and resubmit the proof if it was initially rejected, or if the supplier wanted some additional clarification.
